Sweet Escape Part 2 - End

#Day 2 :
Universal Studio Singapore
Universal Studio Singapore was our next destination. It is located in Sentosa Island. We went there by MRT (again!). We got off in Vivocity and took a Sentosa Express Train. It was so easy and simple for going everywhere. Two thumbs up for Singapore transportation!
So far, I am impressed with Revenge of Mummy ride. It is an indoor roller coaster and totally dark inside. It is also very high speed roller coaster I ever rode. There can be two possibilities when we ride this roller coaster : we will scream aloud or we will be in silence during the attraction lasts. I did the first one but my friend was only in silence. I thought that she had been fallen and scattered everywhere because she was really quiet and there was no sounds of her. hahahaa. Lucky me I didn't throw up hahaa.
We didn't ride the transformers ride. After riding the revenge of mummy roller coaster, we were still shocked and we were a bit worried about trying another ride. We had stood in line but we cancelled it suddenly. I searched in google about this ride and watched a video in youtube after I returned to Indonesia. Transformers ride is a 4D attraction and we shouldn't be worried about it actually. Regrets always come last, honey!
Definitely say no for Battlestar Galactica ride! If you dare enough, you have to try this out. And if you feel challenged you have to try the Galactica Cylon.
We stopped by for watching some shows as well. Above is the street dancers show. They were pretty cool! We made a circle line to watch them and made some noise too. Below is the street singers show.

Sweet Escape Part 1

Hi, Sorry for leaving this blog for more than a month. This post is such a super-late post due to some college-issues and an internet connection problem. At the previous post, I told you about my vacation planning, right? It could be said that it was a kind of budget traveling. Fyi, I just spent less than SGD 375 for 3D2N in Singapore! It was included with round-trip tickets, voucher hotel, Universal Studio Singapore ticket, foods, and transportation. I went around Singapore by MRT and bus. I do love those kind of transportation, it is really helpful for a foreigner. Here are some pictures and a short story from me. I call it as my sweet escape because I left my busy college life behind.

#Day 1 :
Merlion Park
I'll start it from our arrival in Singapore. We arrived in Singapore at 10.30 a.m. Lucky me, it was the first time experience going by plane and it is for going abroad, hehee. When I stepped on Changi Airport for the first time, I was really like a fool. My eyes kept on staring at around the airport and I'm sure that at that time my mouth wide-opened and amazed. I think Changi airport is ten times larger than Adisutjipto. So, after going through the immigration process, we went to the MRT station and our first destination would be Fragrance Hotel at Geylang (Geylang is famous as the red district in Singapore. We were a little bit scared whenever we walked along the way at night for going back to the hotel, indeed!). We got off in Aljunied Station and took a walk only a few minutes and we arrived at the hotel. After putting the luggage and backpack, we immediately looked for a mosque and stopped by on it for praying. After praying, we continue on going to Merlion Park by MRT.

We got off in Raffles Place station, and not far from there, there's a beautiful Boat Quay. We just stopped by for a while to take some pictures here.
We were on the way to Marina Bay Sands. It was too far when we would walk and we decided to go by river boat. It cost $4 for each person.

Gardens by The Bay
After we asked people around and walked for a thousands miles (just kidding guys, don't take it seriously! hahaaa), we arrived at Gardens by The Bay! Yippieee!! Gardens by The Bay is a huge indoor garden, near Marina Bay Sands. We could see various types of flowers from all over the world here. When I entered this garden, the smell was so good. The flowers not only have beautiful colors but some of them are also fragrance.
Orchard Road
It was a late night when we were in ION orchard. We only had a dinner here and went shopping for a while. I only bought a pair of shoes in H&M not on purpose since my shoes were broken after a thousands miles we walked and I didn't prepare another shoes to be brought. We only sat on entrance of the ION Orchard and enjoyed the night view of Orchard Road. After that, we were back to our hotel.

Easter Holiday

Yippiee.. it's holiday! Lucky me, I study at catholic university even though I'm a Muslim. It's just because I have some extra holiday in the midst of busy days, hehe. Easter is coming up! It's important to me for relaxing my body 'cause I lacked of sleep recently. Even when the next day was holiday, I had to work overtime to accomplish the all college tasks one day before. The holiday started from Wednesday until Thursday on the next week. On Wednesday, I just stayed at home. I missed my home badly. Two days before Wednesday, I didn't go home, I spent two nights at my friend's home for getting done some tasks. So I chose to stay at home on the first day of holiday.
Today, I spent the day with Ochi going to Affandi Museum. Did you know Affandi? He was one of the greatest artist that Indonesia ever had. He created naturalistic and expressionistic paintings. The Affandi museum is located in Jl. Laksda Adisucipto 167, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It is exactly beside Gajah Wong River. Fyi, this is the first time I came to the museum after years I didn't go to that kind of place. Even thought I've lived in Yogyakarta in the whole of my life, this is my first experience visiting Museum Affandi as well. Yeah, what an irony indeed! blame on me as much as you want, guys. I deserve to get it, hahaa. As usual, I did a sketch here. :)

Culinary Tour 07.02.13

So, After my buddies and I met up one day before, we met up again in the next day since Tiwi asked us to visit Pancakes Company. Actually we wanted to visit it in the first day we met up but we were satisfied after having some meals in Lumpia Boom. So, we decided to come the next day. But in that day, we went to Pancakes Company minus Riris 'cause she said she had an appointment with her boyfriend. So, we missed one personnel and I was a little bit upset cause she's kinda happy-go-lucky type of girl hahaa. But Ilma presence brought another joy. Finally, we agreed to meet up in Pancakes Company at 11 a.m. for your information, Pancakes Company is located in Jalan Prof. Dr. Yohanes No 1060 Sagan, Yogyakarta. Feel free to visit it :)
When I walked into Pancakes Company, I could see some of vintage photos and posters hanged on the wall. Those were pretty cute. We sat on the comfy sofa and it felt very homey just like at home
